Beverly had a larger-than-life personality, a generous heart, and a deep love for her Italian heritage, which she proudly embraced throughout her life.
Beverly R. Panarelli, 78, of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 9, 2026, at the Christopher House in Worcester.
Born in Worcester, daughter of the late, Gerald and Rose (Pajka) Panarelli. Beverly attended South High in Worcester and then graduated from Worcester State University with a Teaching Degree, focusing on Spanish and French languages.
Beverly had a larger-than-life personality, a generous heart, and a deep love for her Italian heritage, which she proudly embraced throughout her life. She also held a deep and abiding faith in God, which was an important part of her life.
Beverly had deep roots in Worcester but was blessed with the opportunity to travel and to live in other parts of the world where she shared her education while living in Spain, South America, and Canada. While living overseas, she worked as a tour guide in Spain and South America and ran the Institute of Practical Spanish. Her love of travel, culture, and connecting with people made her life rich with experiences and friendships from all over the world.
Beverly was passionate about sharing her love of the Spanish language to students of all ages, inspiring others through her enthusiasm, knowledge, and vibrant personality.
In Worcester, she enjoyed the love of family and was a Spanish Teacher at both Our Lady of The Angels School and Forest Grove Middle School. She was passionate about sharing her love of the Spanish language to students of all ages, inspiring others through her enthusiasm, knowledge, and vibrant personality. Beverly also taught Spanish to her fellow residents at Christopher House.
Beverly was blessed with many wonderful friendships throughout her life. Her big, loving personality drew people to her, and she had a special gift for making others feel welcome and cared for. She loved being surrounded by people, sharing stories and laughter, and creating lasting memories with those she held dear. Whether through her travels, her teaching, or her everyday interactions, Beverly left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Her warmth, humor, generosity, and zest for life made her unforgettable, and she will be deeply missed by her family, friends, former students, and all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
Aunt Bev, is survived by nieces and nephews, including, Sean Fitzpatrick of Provincetown, Martin Fitzpatrick and his wife Karen of Spencer, who lovingly cared for her throughout her life and held a special place in her heart; Marissa Panarelli Woodis and her husband Adam of Spencer, Nicholas Panarelli of Worcester, and Jeffery Panarelli and his wife Melissa of Worcester, Jesse Mosczynski of Dudley; her uncle, Joseph “Juney” Panarelli; great nieces and great nephews. Beverly also leaves behind her dear close friend, Danelle Walsh, with whom she shared a special bond of friendship and sisterhood. Beverly was predeceased by a sister, Carmella “Dolly” Fitzpatrick, and by a brother, Albert J. Panarelli.
Calling Hours for Aunt Bev will be on Wednesday, October 14, from 4 pm to 7 pm at the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. Her Funeral will be on Thursday, October 15, departing the funeral home at 10:30 am in procession to an 11 am Funeral Mass at Our Lady of The Angels Church, 1212 Main Street, Worcester. Interment will follow at Saint John’s Cemetery.
