Barry P. Posterro

Barry P. Posterro, 84, of North Grafton passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 4, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

He leaves his beloved wife of nearly fifty-four years, Constance (Copper) Posterro; their four children, Tracy Kirkpatrick, B.J. Posterro, Jamie Posterro, and Kristy Kielbasinski; nine grandchildren; and his brother, Kenneth Posterro.

Born in Hartford, Connecticut, Barry was the son of the late John and Olga (Bayrouty) Posterro. He grew up in Worcester and graduated from Commerce High School in 1960. He served in the National Guard, then earned his degree from Worcester Junior College and continued his studies at Worcester Industrial Technical Institute.

In 1970, Barry's determination and skill as a master electrician led him to establish Kenbar, Inc., where he became known for his work on large commercial projects until his retirement in 2012.

His beginnings were modest, and the life he built with Constance was the product of hard work and devotion. Kind and generous by nature, he always saw the best in the people around him. His family could always rely on his strength and guidance, and nothing mattered more to him than the happiness and success of his children and grandchildren.

He was an avid tennis player for over 50 years and took pride in being ranked sixteenth in men's singles by the New England Lawn Tennis Association. His love of the game ran deep, and he enjoyed sharing it with family and friends.

The family invites relatives and friends to calling hours on Thursday, October 8, from 5 to 7 p.m. at The Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9, at 9 a.m. at Saint George Orthodox Cathedral, 30 Anna Street, Worcester. Interment will follow in Hope Cemetery, Worcester.
