Barbara A. O'Connor

Barbara A. (Frotten) O’Connor, 59 of Dudley, passed away unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, December 28, 2022.

Barbara was born in Worcester, a place she called home for the majority of her life. Where she graduated from North High School, she later spent many years working in healthcare.  

Barbara leaves behind her loving husband of nine years, Kevin C. O’Connor. Who brought so much love and joy into her life everyday. Kevin adored her and took such great care of her.

Barbara is survived by two daughters, Brittany Westerman and her husband Daniel of West Boylston and Ashley McAvey of Spencer; a son, Anthony McAvey and his wife Katie of Sutton; two step-sons, Sean O’Connor of Danielson, CT. and Casey O’Connor of Worcester; her mother, Nancy A. (Rousseau) Frotten of Worcester; a sister, Michelle Kazanovicz and her husband Peter of Francistown, NH; many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.

Barbara’s greatest joy in life was being a grandmother. She loved to spend any moment she could talking and being with her grandchildren. She lovingly leaves behind her seven grandchildren, Riley, Benjamin, Kaden, Isabelle, Chloe, Raymond and Hunter.

Anyone that had the pleasure of meeting Barbara knew she had the most loving and caring heart. She will be deeply missed.

A period of calling hours will be held on Friday, January 6, 2023 from 4-6 pm immediately followed by her funeral service at 6 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester.
