Barbara A. (Perrone) Martone, 89, of Worcester, passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2026 at Saint Mary Healthcare in Worcester. Her husband, Anthony Martone, predeceased her in January of 2015.
Barbara is survived by her loving son, Michael A. Martone and his wife Michelle of Uxbridge; six grandchildren, Maximus, Macen, and Mazzy Martone, Kerrianne, Gianna, and Anthony Gabrie1la; several great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Barbara was predeceased by her daughter, Cheryl Gabriella in 2006. Barbara was born in Worcester, daughter of the late, Samuel and Rose (Gabriella) Perrone, and has lived here all her life. She graduated from Worcester High School of Commerce.
Barbara worked as a medical secretary in the Oncology Department at Saint Vincent Hospital for many years before retiring. She was a member of Our Lady of Loreto Church, she enjoyed dancing, bowling, going to Maine, and was an enthusiastic Red Sox fan. Her favorite past time was entertaining and being with her family for the holidays.
Barbara’s family would like to thank the incredible staff at Saint Mary Healthcare for their kindness and compassion. A special thank you is also extended to Ascend Hospice for their care and diligence in keeping Barbara’s dignity and comfort.
Calling Hours will on Thursday, May 21, in Our Lady of Loreto Church, from 9:30 am until her Funeral Mass begins at 11 am at Our Lady of Loreto Church Our Lady of Mount Carmel, 37 Massasoit Road, Worcester. Interment will follow at Saint John’s Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Saint Mary Healthcare, 39 Queen Street, Worcester, MA 01610.
