Barbara Ann (Dumas) Dell’Olio passed away peacefully on December 27, 2023 at the age of 83, with family and friends by her side after a period of declining health.
She is survived by her husband, Leone Nello Dell’Olio of Auburn, her daughter Gina Marie Dell’Olio and her fiancé Todd Balderelli of Worcester; and her son Neil Joseph Dell’Olio of Berlin, Germany. She was preceded in death earlier this year by her daughter, Ann Marie Dell’Olio. She also leaves a sister, Suzanne M. Cavanaugh and her husband Jack of Worcester, as well as many nieces and nephews. Her brother, John Dumas of Hawaii, passed away in 2017.
Barbara was born in Worcester to the late Herman J. and Lina S. (Jarvey) Dumas. She attended North High School in Worcester, where she formed friendships with many of her peers, among them Elaine Simone and Rae Ezzo, which have lasted her entire life.
In June 1963 Barbara married her husband, with whom she recently celebrated their 60th anniversary. Barbara was a stay-at-home mom whose family was at the center of her world.
Barbara enjoyed going out with friends and family, looking for a bargain and loved all things glittery. When her children were older and no longer living at home, Barbara supported her husband at his business, General Data Graphics. In her later years she also played golf at Green Hill Park and Pleasant Valley Country Club. She enjoyed traveling with her husband to places such as Italy, Germany, and California, as well as spending the winter months in Florida.
Her smile and laughter will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
