Arlene Frances (Kulesza) Wyrzykowski, 90, of Worcester Massachusetts, passed away unexpectedly on February 6, 2026. Arlene lived a life guided by faith and filled with compassion, dedication, and deep love for others. Predeceased by her parents Walter and Frances Tomaszewicz, loving husband Zygmunt L. Wyrzykowski, daughter Sandra Wyrzykowski, son Steven “Toby” Wyrzykowski, grandson David Wyrzykowski, sisters Dorothy Pollier, Carol Hall, and Janice Kulesza. Survived by her children David and wife Laurie Wyrzykowski, Scott Wyrzykowski, brothers Ronnie (Donna) Tomaszewicz, Paul (Linda)

Tomaszewicz, sister-in-law Cheryl Wyrzykowski, grandchildren Brian (Kathy) Wyrzykowski, Steven (Karina) Wyrzykowski, cousins Michael Feld, Terry Gentile, Susan Brigham, and Marie Elaine Wade. The family would like to extend loving gratitude to Mary Hurja, Arlene’s best friend, confidante and care giver. Arlene is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, friends, great and great-great grandchildren and the many lives she touched through her kindness.

Arlene was born in Worcester Massachusetts, attended Saint Mary’s School where she first met her school sweetheart Zygmunt, married and raised their children while residing and working in Worcester. Arlene graduated from Worcester City Hospital School of Nursing and remained at the hospital for years as an accomplished nurse where her love of teaching, mentoring and caring for others thrived. After retirement she was the person everyone turned to for medical advice.

Arlene’s motherly love extended far beyond her care giving and immediate family. She welcomed foster children into her home and she showered children of family friends with love as if they were her own grandchildren. Her love was warm and all encompassing. It spanned over miles, with no barriers.

Arlene passed her appreciation of cooking and Polish cuisine to all of her loved ones. Her many hand written recipes have been and will continue to be enjoyed by all. She loved small intimate dinners at home, large family gatherings, breaking bread with family and friends, and casual daily chats on the phone, all which filled her days with joy and love. She cherished the simple moments and the time spent surrounded by those she loved most.

Arlene was immensely proud of her family, and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories and traditions to be shared and enjoyed. Her spirit will be forever missed, but her love and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

In keeping with her wishes, a Mass will be held at St. Stephen Parish in the Spring, followed by a grave site ceremony at Notre Dame Cemetery Worcester MA where her ashes will be laid with her husband Zygmunt (dec. 1984). A Celebration of Life for family and friends will follow, date, time and location to be announced.

Cremation to be hosted by Mercadante Funeral Home.

The family requests memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in lieu of flowers.
