Anthony "Tony" J Cormier

July 25, 1971 — October 12, 2022

Anthony Cormier passed away on October 12, 2022.  He was the son of Leonard Cormier of Shrewsbury, MA, and Teresa Benton of Grifton, NC.  In addition to his parents, Tony leaves a brother Steven Cormier (Diana), of Kansas, and a sister Andrea Shackelford (David) of Indiana.  He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, a niece, nephews and cousins. He had a special relationship with his cousin Artie.

Tony was born in Worcester, moving to Florida in 1981, where he attended school and spent most of his adult life before returning to Massachusetts in early 2022.

Tony was a talented artist, working in all types of medium, ranging from pencil, charcoal, and chalk to various paints.  His artistic gift was evident from a very young age and became impeccable as the years passed.  Even his “simple” and spontaneous creations had amazing detail.

Tony enjoyed all sports, but especially hockey and football.  He was an avid Bruins and Patriots fan.

He will be missed by many.
