Anthony Monopoli

Anthony Monopoli, 87, of Worcester, MA passed away October 28, 2022, surrounded by family following a short illness. He was the beloved husband of Rachel (Peloquin) and the father of Michael Monopoli (Carolann) and Helen Stansky (Peter); Cherished grandfather of Michael Monopoli (Robin), Elizabeth West (Alex), Kathryn Monopoli (fiancé Alino), Emily Stansky (fiancé Connor), Abigail Stansky, and great-grandfather of Noah. In addition to his parents, Mauro and Angelina (DiBenedetto) Monopoli, he was predeceased by a grandson, Nicholas Monopoli.

Anthony worked passionately in construction for most of his life, and was a member of the Local 4 Union for over 65 years. He was a man of many hobbies and talents, including welding, painting, carpentry, and restoring cars in the garage that he built and loved so much. He was also an enthusiast of Western films. Anthony will be remembered as a wonderful, happy man who never had an unkind word to speak.

Friends may call on the family on Tuesday, November 8 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St, Worcester. Anthony’s funeral Mass will be held November 8 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Loreto Parish, 33 Massasoit Rd, Worcester, with interment following in Notre Dame Cemetery, 162 Webster St, Worcester.
