Annamae T. Pats

Annamae T. (Cursi) Pats, 92, of Worcester, passed away on Friday, August 26, 2022, at Regal Care Center in Worcester.  Her loving husband of sixty-four years, Peter J. Pats, Sr., predeceased her in May 2013.

Annamae is survived by a son, Peter J. Pats, Jr. and his wife Christine; a daughter, Diane M. Morrow, all of Worcester; three grandchildren, Kyle Paganelli and his wife Jenelle, Dr. Ann Marie Murray and her husband Sean, and Pamela J. Pats; three great grandchildren, Gavin J. and Gianna A. Murray, and Lacey Paganelli; two sisters, Lucille Giangregorio of Worcester, and Dorothy Bisceglia of Shrewsbury; nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by a brother and a sister, Robert J. Cursi and Rosemarie Burton.  Annamae was born in Worcester, daughter of the late, Nazzareno and Rita (Basilissa) Cursi and has lived here all her life.

Annamae worked for over twenty-five years at the Big D on Sunderland Road in Worcester, before retiring in 1984.  She made many friends and shared thousands of smiles with the customers she met over the years.  She was a member of the former Saint Margaret Mary Parish, she enjoyed summers at Nantasket Beach, BINGO, the “Wonder of It All’, and tending to her gardens.  Her greatest joy was her family and was always a gracious host during the holidays.

Calling Hours will be on Wednesday, August 31, from 8 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. at MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester, then at 10:40 a.m. departing in procession for an 11 a.m. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of The Rosary Church, 25 Fales Street, Worcester.  Interment will follow at Saint Joseph Cemetery, Webster.
