Andrew R. Verdolino, 74, of Millbury, formerly of Worcester, passed away in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, September 20, 2023.
Andy is survived by his loving wife and best friend for over fifty years, Elizabeth “Liz” (Carlo) Verdolino; two daughters, Denise Gerolomo and her husband Tom, and Brenda Verdolino; a sister, Paula Treveloni; two granddaughters, Isabella and Giuliana; his rescue dog, Buddy; nieces, nephews; and extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his brother Richard Verdolino. Andy was born in Worcester, son of the late Archie A. and Anne (Magro) Verdolino, and grew up in Auburn before moving to Worcester, where he lived for many years before moving to Millbury several years ago.
Andy was a sheet metal worker for William Morrill Inc, before retiring in 1989. He was a Jack of All Trades and was always willing to help anyone with a project, whether fixing a car, building a deck or house or simply fixing up the family home. He enjoyed vintage and muscle cars and could often be found tinkering in the garage.
He loved to socialize and be with people, but his greatest joy was his family. Andy loved his granddaughters, and often beamed with pride when sharing stories about them with others. His bond with Isabella and Giuliana only grew stronger when he and Liz moved to Millbury to be closer.
Andy’s family is thankful for the care and compassion received from the staff at Dana Farber and his primary care doctor, Dr. Imola Daniel.
