Albert J. Dezotell, of Mashpee, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. He was born and raised in Newton, the beloved son of the late William R. Dezotell and Estelle L. (Lupo) Dezotell.

Albert is survived by his wife, Sheila A. (Moquin) Dezotell of Millbury; his loving daughter, Lindsey M. Dezotell and her wife, Leiah of St. Petersburg, Florida; and his loving son, Jason W. Dezotell and his wife, Chelsea of Southborough. He also leaves behind his cherished granddaughter, Colby E. Dezotell of Southborough.

In addition, he is survived by his brother, William R. Dezotell and his wife, Susanne of Framingham; his sister, Susan R. Martini and her husband, Richard of Estero, Florida; his nephews, Michael Martini of Kansas City, Missouri, and Jake Martini of Tampa, Florida; as well as many dear aunts, uncles, cousins, and beloved friends.

Albert followed in his father’s footsteps, developing a talent for enhancing both the efficiency and aesthetics of homes. He built a career in sales within the home improvement and mortgage industries, where he was known for his skill, dedication, and expertise.

He treasured spending time with his family on Cape Cod at their summer cottage. A lifelong learner, Albert was always eager to explore new interests and hobbies. He had a deep passion for jet skis, boating, cars, computer technology, sports, patriotism, politics, and music.

Albert’s life mission and legacy were to instill in his children the wisdom, resilience, and sense of humor needed to navigate all the jivels, the dinlos, and most importantly to gin overchay with confidence and grace. His quick wit, infectious laugh, and remarkable sense of humor will be remembered and cherished always.

In accordance with his wishes, there will be no calling hours or services. Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel is honored to assist family with arrangements.
