He graduated from Worcester Boys trade and accepted a position with the United Association of Pipefitters union, local 537 Boston where he worked for over 50 years before retiring in 1987. Notably, Al worked on the construction of many major building projects in Massachusetts and beyond. In retirement, Albert along with Theresa assisted their son Kenny at Belsito’s Deli, making delicious Italian delicacies, they raised their family on.

Al was a member of Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, the ITAM Club, and a founding active member and volunteer on all functions along with the Golf League of the Columbus Civic Association. On many occasions Al could be found playing golf or cards with his friends and family at the Association. Special moments in Al’s life were those spent in his younger days on the golf courses of central mass, and Cape Cod with his sons and his friends. A devoted family man with his wife, their family was always close and together. The holidays and special occasions were always times to remember. His children told many stories of their youth with their parents, especially the times they would travel to vacations on Cape Cod and nights at the Drive-in movies. He dedicated his life to raising his children, and being a part of his grandchildren’s and great grandchildren’s life. No matter what, they were first in his life. The sound of voices and laughter heard outside, the smell of coffee brewing inside, with macaroni and meatballs ready on the stove. Al along with his wife Theresa always welcomed family, friends, neighborhood children and anyone that happened to stop by into their home and never left without a full belly. His special place was his Cape Cod home where he loved to have family cookouts, relax on the deck, and play the game of pitch with his children and grandchildren.
