February 21, 1918 — December 11, 2007

Helen I. (Roach) Haven,89, formerly of Seabury Heights died peacefully Tuesday December 11, 2007 in the Millbury Healthcare Center.Helen is survived by her devoted daughter Kathleen "Kathy" Leto of Worcester, and her loving grandchildren Anthony "A.J" Leto, and Jennifer Leto. Helen was predeceased by her son in law Anthony "Tony" Leto. Helen was born on February 21, 1918 in Gardner, daughter of Daniel and Annie (Lynch) Roach and lived in Worcester most of her life. She was a graduate of Classical High School and St. Vincent Hospital School Of Nursing. Helen was a private duty nurse for many years and also worked at St Vincent and Fairlawn Hospital before she retired.She was a long time member of St Stephen's Church, and the St. Vincent Hospital Nurses Alumni Association. Helen had a quick sense of humor and will be missed by her family and friends. Helen's funeral will be held Saturday from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:15 AM in St Stephen Church 357 Grafton St. Calling hours in the funeral are 4-7PM on Friday. Burial will be in St John's Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Seven Hills Foundation 81 Hope Ave Worcester, Ma. 01603 or to the Millbury Health Care Center Activity Fund 312 Millbury Ave.01527.
