Mary Sweeney

Mary "Mitzie" (Ferguson) Sweeney, 88, of Randolph Rd, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, November 28th in the Dodge Park Rest Home. Mitzie is survived by her devoted daughter and best friend Kathy Beshai of Spencer; nieces and nephews. Mitzie's son Daniel Sweeney passed away in 1972; a brother Daniel Ferguson and a sister, Veronica Feeley also pre deceased her. She was born in Worcester; her parents were the late, Daniel and Margaret (Cleary) Ferguson. She graduated from St. Peter's High School in 1937, and has lived in Worcester all her life. Mary worked as a Nurse Aide for Various Nursing Facilities in the area before retiring. Mary's family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the all the employees of Dodge Park Rest Home for their care and compassion given to Mary. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Entombment will be in St. John Mausoleum.
