Maureen Lazarus

Maureen Anne (Johnson) Lazarus, 56, of Stoneland Road in Worcester, passed away, Sunday, December 23, 2007, in Memorial Hospital. Maureen leaves her husband, Bennett Lazarus; their daughter, Amy Lynn Lazarus; her mother, Mary (Shanley) Johnson of Milton; two brothers, James Johnson of Falmouth and Stephen Johnson of Westfield, NJ; three sisters, Nancy Johnson, Joanne Lee, and Susan Peterson all of Dorchester; many nieces and nephews. A son Brendan Lazarus, pre-deceased her. Maureen was born in Boston, daughter of the late James Johnson, and grew up in Natick, before moving here many years ago. The funeral for Maureen will be held Saturday, December 29, from MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester, with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Saint John's Church, 40 Temple Street, Worcester. Interment will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours will be held Saturday morning from 8:30 a.m. until 10 a.m. in the funeral home, immediately prior to departing for church.
