June L. (Dalbeck) Messier, 89, of Worcester passed away Friday January 22nd 2010 in the Memorial Hospital with family by her side. June's husband of 62 years, Bertrand G. Messier passed away in 2006. She is survived by her three devoted children Roger P. Messier and his wife Christine of East Douglas, Ronald G. Messier with whom she lived and Elaine J. Lawson and her husband Norman of Worcester; six grandchildren, Mark, Elizabeth, Eileen, Danielle, Julieann and Ronald Jr.; five great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends. A brother, Kenneth Dalbeck, and three sisters, Thelma Bergeron, Doris Dupre and Alice Fortier all pre deceased her. June was born in Worcester, a daughter of Joseph and Emma (Lemay) Dalbeck and has lived here all her life. At onetime June worked as a supervisor for Norton Company in Worcester. She was a member of the former St. Margaret Mary Church. June like to sew, Knit, Bake and cook. Her specialty was to bake doll shaped cakes. Her most enjoyed times were the time she spent with her family and vacationing in Kennebunk Maine. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family Sunday, January 24th from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Her funeral will be held Monday, from the funeral home with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Stephen Church, 357 Grafton St. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery.
