Rosalind Angela Pingeton, more affectionally known as "Auntie Roe", of Worcester devoted sister, aunt and friend passed away Sunday October 20th 2013, with the family she loved gathered beside her after a long period of Medical Challenges, courageously succumbing to Lung Cancer recently. She was 75. Rosalind was born in Worcester, one of nine children of Augustus M. and Leda (Delgreco) Pingeton. She grew up in Worcester and graduated from Commerce High School. Rosalind then began her working years in the admission department of Quinsigamond Community College. She then accepted a position in the Grant department of the University of Massachusetts, before assuming the role of Office manager for the Medical office of Dr.'s Rosen and Tucker before retiring. Auntie Roe, a dedicated sister, aunt and friend leaves behind to morn her loss the family she so dearly loved; her three brothers, Augustus Pingeton and his wife Kathleen of West Boylston, John Pingeton and his wife Patricia, Thomas Pingeton and his wife Nancy all of Worcester; her five sisters, Barbara Dagesi of Cranston Rhode Island, Janice Hultberg and her husband George of Danielson, CT, Beverly Carpino and her husband Anthony, Leah Leone and her husband Anthony all of Worcester, Paula Schraffa and her husband Louis of Millbury; many nieces, nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews, extended family and dear friends including Jan Shulman a lifelong friend who helped her though her illnesses. Rosalind was a former member of the Red Hats Society. She was a fun loving, wonderful person who cherished her family and could liven up any room she entered. Her family especially her nephews and nieces were her life and inspiration. She loved shopping, the beaches of Cape Cod, and New England Sports especially the Red Sox and Patriots. . Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family Wednesday October 23rd from 4 pm to 7 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Her funeral will be celebrated Thursday, October 24th from the funeral home with a procession to St. Brigid's Church, 59 Main St Millbury where her funeral will be celebrated at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial remembrances in her name can be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 400 Brookline Ave Boston Ma or the St Jude Children's Research Hospital, Danny Thomas Way, Memphis Tenn.
