Nancy (Luzier) Gingras

Nancy L. (Luzier) Gingras, 71, of Worcester died peacefully Tuesday May 5, 2015 in the UMASS Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her devoted husband of 53 years Richard E. Gingras, four sons, Richard Gingras and his wife Luann of Georgia, Robert Gingras and his wife Michele of Ohio, Marc Gingras and his wife Kathy, and Matthew Gingras of Worcester. She is the beloved grandmother to six grandchildren, two step grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Nancy is also survived by four brothers; William Luzier of Newton KS. Thomas Luzier of W. Decatur PA. Daniel Luzier of Clearfield Pa. and Dennis Luzier of W. Decatur PA.and a sister Jane Dixon and her husband Elroy of Morrisdale PA. and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by two brothers Sheridan and John Luzier, and Ann Luzier all of Clearfield. Nancy was born in Clearfield PA. on March 19, 1944 daughter of the late Alfred J. and Sara Jane (Jordan) Luzier and lived there many years before coming to the Worcester Area. She was a graduate of Clearfield High School. Nancy worked as a CNA at Saint Vincent Hospital for many years before she retired. She and Richard loved spending their winters in Ormond Beach Florida, where she loved walking along the beach and feeding her feathered friends. Although her most treasured times were those spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a kind hearted woman who will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Nancy's funeral will be held on Wednesday May 13, from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. with a Mass of Christian burial in the Church of the Holy Family/St. Joseph 35 Hamilton St. at 11:00AM. A visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday from 4PM to 7PM. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Association Cambridge Park Dr. Cambridge, MA. 02140.
