Joseph A. DePaoli, 74, of Spencer, passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2017, in the presence of his loving family. His wife, Pamela (Poirier) Magner-DePaoli, predeceased him in May 2014.Joseph is survived by his loving family, including, his son, Joseph J. DePaoli and his wife Amy of West Chester, PA; two daughters, Lisa J. Normandin and her husband Paul F. Normandin, and Lori A. Cladis and her husband Dr. George S. Cladis, all of Leicester; a step-daughter, Michelle L. Woodward and her husband Thomas Woodward of North Brookfield; a sister, Jane Kadis of Worcester; his aunt, Rita Stevenson of Worcester; nine grandchildren, Patrick and Kelly Normandin, Tyler and Zachary Keenan, Ava, Joseph, and Helaina DePaoli, Amanda and Kylie Woodward; his former wife, with whom he remained friends, Diane (Canzano) Toomey and her husband Charles of North Brookfield. He was born in Worcester, son of the late, Joseph P. and Nancy (Caffone) DePaoli. He graduated from Commerce High School in Worcester and remained there for many years, before settling in Spencer thirty years ago. Joseph was a truck driver with the Teamsters Local 170 for many years, before retiring in 2006. He was full of wit and enjoyed being social; he loved fun times with family and friends. He enjoyed sports and placing a wager or two on the puppies or ponies. He loved his family and was very proud of his home and his yard. Calling Hours will be on Friday, December 15, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. His Funeral will be held on Saturday, December 16, departing the funeral home in procession at 10:30 a.m. for an 11 a.m. Funeral Service at Liberty Church, 495 Hartford Turnpike (Route 20), Shrewsbury, MA 01545, with his son in law, Reverend Dr. George S. Cladis, presiding. A Catholic Burial Services will be in the Spring at the convenience of the family.
