William “Billy” Erickson, Jr. 53 of Worcester passed away peacefully Wednesday December 13th 2017 after a period of declining health. Billy was born in Worcester, a son of William Erickson, Sr. and the late Rosemarie (Giorgio) Erickson. Raised in Worcester, Billy owned and operated United Auto Sales many years before retiring. He has lived here all his life. Billy is survived by his devoted son, Benjamin Erickson and his wife Aracelis Rodriguez of Worcester; a grandson he cherished Jayden Erickson; his father, William Erickson, Sr. and his wife Angie in Perry Florida; three sisters, Cheryl Elia and her husband Tony with whom he lived, Sharon McLean and her husband Jack of Worcester and Susan Erickson of Bonita Springs Florida; a brother Gary Erickson in Cape Coral, Florida; a sister, Katie Erickson also in Florida; Nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. His mother Rosemarie pre deceased him. Billy grew up on Shrewsbury Street, worked and lived his entire life there. He was a member of the Eastside Improvement Club, loved to fish, attend the Fireworks in East Park and participated in the coordination of the former Bonfires on the Normal Park. He also was a 60’s automobile enthusiast. Friends and relatives are invited to memorial calling hours Thursday, December 21st from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. He will be buried privately.
