Riccardo “Rica” Mustica, 29, of Worcester, was stricken ill at home and passed away Saturday, January 20, 2018, three days after learning of the death in an auto accident of his cousin Joseph Arcuri. Rica was born on March 16, 1988, in Worcester; his mother was the late Domenica (Arcuri) Mustica. Raised and educated here, Riccardo attended North High School and has lived here all his life. Rica is survived by his father; Francesco Mustica in Arcri Cosenza Italy; a brother, Fabrizzio Mustica of Worcester; Two sisters, Chiara and Angelapia Mustica both in Italy; his two aunts, both of whom contributed to raising Riccardo when his mother their sister Domenica passed away with Riccardo at a young age, Concetta Arcuri, Romeo and her husband Elio, Cinzia Arcuri and her fiancée Ilidio Dutra all of Worcester; His best friend and pet dog, Romeo; Many other cousins, whom he was close too and considered him “The Godfather of the cousins” extended family and friends. Riccardo enjoyed, Poker , Painting, Music, Wrestling, the Milan Soccer team and the New England Patriots. With Riccardo, family was his life. Nothing made Rick, happier and prouder than being with his family especially his brother Fabrizzo and all his cousins. Friends are invited to a dual set of calling hours with his cousin Joseph Arcuri, Thursday, January 25th from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. A dual funeral will be held Friday, January 26th from the funeral home with a procession to Our Lady of Lourdes church, 1290 Grafton St where Msgr Stephen Pedone will celebrate their Liturgy of Christian burial mass at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery.
