Yefim Fater, 94 of Centerville, formerly of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 27, 2018.
Yefim was born in Odessa, Russia, a son of the late Marcus and Sprintza Fater. He worked as toolmaker for Norton Company for many years. Yefim served for the Soviet Army during WWII.
Yefim’s wife of 66 years, Genya (Taub) Fater passed away in 2015. He is survived by two sons, Alexander Fater and his wife Natalya and Gregory Fater and his wife Larisa; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
His funeral service will be held on Monday, October 29, 2018 at 11 am in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester. Burial will follow in B’Nai Brith Cemetery, Worcester. Contributions in memorial of Yefim can be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
