Vincent A. DiBenedetto

Vincent A. DiBenedetto, 70, of Worcester died peacefully Friday August 3, 2018 in St. Vincent Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Vincent is survived by his devoted wife of 44 years Kathleen (Feeley) DiBenedetto, his son Anthony J, DiBenedetto and his wife Aileen of Worcester, two grandsons Nicholas and Francesco DiBenedetto, and his brother Mark DiBenedetto of Brookfield, and several nieces and nephews.

Vincent was born in Worcester son of the late Nicholas and Elizabeth (Leahy) DiBenedetto and lived in Worcester most of his life before moving to Shrewsbury. Vincent was a graduate of Assumption Preparatory School, and also Assumption College where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. Vincent was a staunch and vocal member of the Democratic Party.  Vincent worked at the EBS Foran Company as a Benefits Administrator for many years before he retired. Vincent was a long time member of St Georges Church where he was a very active Parishioner that was always ready to help with the Church activities. He also gave many hours supporting at risk youth by volunteering in the Worcester Public Schools.  Vincent will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

Vincent’s funeral will be held on Wednesday August 8 from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:30AM in the Church of St. George 38 Brattle St. Visiting hours to Celebrate and Honor Vincent will be held on Tuesday evening from 4PM to 7PM in the funeral home. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America 322 8^Th Ave New York City.
