Ralph J. Ferraro

Ralph J. Ferraro, 82 of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at St. Vincent’s Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Ralph was born in Webster, a son of the late Giacomo and Marie R. (Fournier) Ferraro and grew up in Worcester where he graduated from Worcester Boys Trade. He later entered the United States Army serving his country proudly. Ralph was the owner and operator of RJF Security Services and Ferraro Detective Agency for 40 years retiring in 2006. He was a member of Holy Family-St. Joseph’s Parish.
Ralph is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Bernadette C. (Hubert) Ferraro; two sons, Adam Ferraro and his fiancé, Paige Murray and Glenn Ferraro and his wife Ann-Marie all of Worcester; three grandchildren, Maille, Gavin and Alice whom he adored and loved very much; two brothers, Giacomo Ferraro, Jr. and his wife Joan of Leicester and Richard Ferraro and his wife Janet of Worcester; nieces and nephews.
Ralph loved to travel all over the United States with his family in their RV; especially when they went deep sea fishing. Ralph loved to meet Famous People in his line of work as a bodyguard. He often showed pictures of him with famous entertainers he protected to anyone he spoke to.
Services for Ralph will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2018 from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester with a Mass at 10 am in Holy Family-St. Joseph’s Parish, 35 Hamilton St., Worcester. Entombment will follow in Notre Dame Mausoleum. A period of calling hours will be held on Friday, December 21, 2018 from 5-8 pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to: American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 15829, Arlington, VA 22215.
