Kathleen M. Boothby

July 29, 1929 — September 1, 2018

Kathleen M. (McCloskey) Boothby, 89 of Hampton, NH formerly of Boylston passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at High Pointe Hospice Home in Haverhill.

Kathleen was born in Gardner and grew up in Athol where she attended Athol High School.  She was a resident of Boylston for 51 years until moving to Hampton, NH with her son three years ago.  Kathleen worked as a ward aide for Worcester State Hospital for 25 years retiring in 1985.  She was a former member of St. Mary of the Hills Church and enjoyed knitting.

Kathleen’s husband of 57 years, Albert G. Boothby passed away on January 11, 2011.  She is survived by her son, Albert G. Boothby, Jr. and his fiancé, Nicole L. Desilets-Bixler of Hampton, NH; her son-in-law, Anthony Ferraro, Jr. of Worcester, six grandchildren, four great grandchildren.  She is predeceased by her mother, Ruth (Hartney) McCloskey; her daughter, Patricia A. Ferraro who passed on July 11, 2018.

A graveside service for Kathleen will be held on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at 11:00 am at Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Ave., Paxton.  MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester is honored to be assisting the family with arrangements.  Memorial contributions in memory of Kathleen can be made to: St. Jude Children Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
