John A Jones

John A Jones, 94, of Worcester a loving uncle and friend passed away peacefully with loved ones gathered at his side, Thursday, June 14^th 2018.  

John was born in Worcester on October 30, 1924, a son of Ernest P. and Ida (Queleshi) Jones.  Raised here, with an eye for real-estate, John founded, served as President and operated EP Jones Reality, a property Management and real-estate Company. 

John is survived by his brother, Peter Jones and his wife Pearl of Colchester, VT; many nieces and nephews he loved and cherished notably Margaret Aboud and her husband Moussa cared for him and who he considered a daughter; other extended family members and friends.  A brother George and sister Margaret Jones pre deceased him. 

John was a member of St Mary’s Albanian Church and its men’s club.  TheN.E.A.R.O. (New England Albanian Relief Organization), and the AANO.  

in America.  Devoted to his heritage, his faith and his church, over the years, John was active in assisting Albanian citizens settling in the Worcester are and helping them with the language.   John loved to travel, especially to Vermont, Canada and his native country Albania.  John loved to dance, watch movies and being with his family.  The most enjoyable times he had were those spent with and long talks with Margaret and her family.

Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours Monday, June 18th 2018 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St.   His funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 19th from the funeral home with a procession to St Mary Albanian Orthodox Church, 535 Salisbury St. Worcester, MA 01609 where his funeral service will be held at 10 am.   In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St Mary Albanian Orthodox Church, 535 Salisbury St. 01609.
