Jane T. Stanick

March 4, 1925 — August 25, 2018

Jane T. (Locwin) Stanick, 93 of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Homestead Hall in Worcester surrounded by her family and devoted caregivers.

Jane was born in Worcester on March 4, 1925, a daughter of the late Bronislaw and Josephine (Kosciuk) Locwin.  She attended St. Mary’s School and Worcester Girls Trade. Family and faith came first to Jane and she was the true matriarch of hers, always putting others before herself. Jane was a lively, spirited person who loved spending time with family and friends. She looked forward to her Sundays dining out with the "the girls," usually at the 99. Jane was a night owl who loved coffee, buffalo hot wings, Coney Island Hot Dogs, making pierogis and watching her great grandchildren play. While heaven gained its most sassy angel, her family is left with a hole in our hearts but we know her caring soul and vivacious spirit will never be forgotten. We are grateful to have called her Mom, Gram, Babci and Gramma Jane.

A special thanks to Frank and Anne Marie Locwin, Linda Locwin, Elaine Strothers and her family and Kathy Powers for their unconditional love and support during Jane’s illness.

Jane's family would also like to thank the wonderful staff at Homestead Hall for the care, love and compassion shown to Jane during her two years there. These were very happy years where new friends were made and a second family was gained. The staff are true angels who went above and beyond everyday

Jane’s husband of 57 years, Joseph J. Stanick passed away on September 8, 2005.  She is survived by two daughters, Patricia M. Coonan of Worcester and Cheryl Ann Santora and her husband Dennis of Oxford; her four beloved grandchildren, Jennifer Carson and her husband Neil of Framingham, Melissa Coonan-Pecorella and her husband David of Dover, Jonathan Santora and his wife Katie of Webster and Michelle Murphy and her husband Kyle of Northborough; six adored great grandchildren, Joey, Ali, Josie, Charlie, Sophie and Will; many nieces and nephews.  She is predeceased by her son-in-law, William Coonan; three brothers, John, Stanley and Francis Locwin; two sisters, Josephine Tamosiunas and Mary Kubasiak.
