Felix A. Laurent

Felix A. Laurent, 87, of Worcester, passed away on Monday, December 24, 2018, at UMass Hospital in Worcester.  He is survived by his loving wife, Marie Margarette Leveque, with whom he enjoyed twenty-two years of companionship.

Felix is survived by two sons, Evens Laurent in New York and Wagnel Laurent in Haiti; six daughters, Marie Carmelle Laurent, Marie Mercie L. Pierre, Richette Laurent, Joujou Laurent, and Felicienne Laurent all in New York, and Mahadeva Daniel of Worcester; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.  He was born in Jacmel, Haiti, son of the late, Madilus Laurent and Amancille Charles; and was their last surviving child.

Felix came to the United States from Haiti over fifty years ago.  He lived for many years between New York and Worcester, before settling in Worcester several years ago.  He was trained furniture crafts man and accountant. He worked for many years as a home builder and carpenter.

Felix loved time with his family and will be remembered as a generous, good, and pleasant man.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2019, from 8 a.m. until 9:20 a.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester; followed by a procession departing the funeral home at 9:40 a.m. for an 10 a.m. Mass at Holy Family Parish, 35 Hamilton Street, Worcester.  Interment will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester.
